Oilogic: A Toddler's Sleep Solution

Oilogic: A Toddler's Sleep Solution

Toddlers & sleep. It might just be the biggest parenting challenge I’ve encountered yet.

For my sanity (and my husband’s too) I really wanted to enable our little girl to sleep a significant part of the night (say 11pm-5am). Usually “S” is a sound sleeper, but it takes quite the balance of soothing, shushing and songs to get her in bed without fuss. I loving joke that these “bedtime battles” would even earn Joan of Arc’s subtle nod of approval.

There are plenty of tricks and tips out there for tempting toddlers to sleep and recently I’ve added some bath vapor into the routine—it’s truly upped my parenting skills.

The bath vapor I use is from Oilogic.  Oilogic uses 100% pure essential oils (certified through 5 different tests). It makes for a heavenly mix of Lavandin, Geranium, Orange, Eucalyptus and Sandalwood. Oilogic sources their oils from indigenous countries and then makes blends that are diluted properly for safe and effective toddler aromatherapies. I appreciate how Oilogic takes the worry out of using essential oils around my kiddo.

Here’s how the bath vapor works. I apply about 1 tablespoon into the water (it doesn’t take much to make a good amount of bubbles) and then I swish the water around to help the aroma rise (usually closing the door helps the scent build up too). Then I place “S” in the warm bath for some quality bubble time.

What I Love About It:

Baby “S” has recently been battling some eczema (no fun) so I try to be conscientious about anything that could aggravate her skin. We’ve used at least half of our 1/3rd of our Oilogic supply and it hasn’t caused a reaction at all.

My husband is also fairly sensitive to scents (at least 5 of my favorite perfumes have been touted as unbearable) but he actually really enjoys Oilogic. He described it as mostly rosemary with some citrus.

Hope this helps your own bedtime battles.

Cheers,

Hazel
